Ketch —Defiance. ♦ The bri"antine Endeavour, Captain Dick, irrived in Port at 10 o'clock last night. Uaptain Dick reports leaving Wellington on :he 19th inst., arid was off Titnaru on the evening of the 21st, when strong southerly weather was met with which continued until Monday night, during which no progress could be made. A light north-west Breeze afterwards sprung up, winch enabled him to reach Port. The Endeavour has 90 tons coal, and 50 casks cement, consigned to her owners, Messrs. J.-and T. Meek. _ The Oamaru and Dunedin Steamship Company's s.s. Waitaki, Captain Edie, left the Breakwater for Dunedin at her usual hour this morning. She took away a fair cargo and about 23 passengers. The ketch Franklin P.elie, Captain Bradshaw, sailed for Dunedin this morning with a cargo of produce.
