ALBION ENQUIRY—THE CAPTAIN
CENSURED
July 23,
The enquiry re brig Albion was recently held, and the decision of the Court was given this morning. Mr. Broad, R.M., attributes the damage to the weakness of the vessel's bottom, and censured the captain for not examining it before loading, as he knew her past history. Also, he recommends that loading and sailing on timber vessels should, as in North America, be regulated by law.
