Thiers has been elected Republic leader in the Chamber of Deputies. In the Senate, messages were prosentj from Marshal MacMahon, asking iuni lt diate dissolution of the Chamber of Dejij ties. In both Houses interpolations w et moved, and a vote of want of confide carried against the Government by % ayes to 153 noes. The Minister , Public Works said the Government m indifferent what order of the day passed Gambetta exclaimed, " Yes, the countr will choose between us." Members of tli Budget Committee agreed to support thi rejection of the Budget if the Ministr refused to resign, if in obedience to vote of censure. Public sentiment i strongly against MacMahon, ami tij Chamber of Deputies lias been ven turbulent.
