AUCKLAND.

EQUALISATION OF LICENSE FEES. June 27. A deputation of licensed victuallers waited on Dr. Pollen, requesting that the license fees in Auckland district be equalised with those in other parts of the Colony. Dr. Pollen said the alteration must be made by the Legislature. During the approaching session an amended Bill would be introduced, but he was not able to say whether the fees would be raised to the Auckland standard or equalised to the scale existing in the South.
