The Egyptian contingent has arrived at Stamboul. Madlar has been reinforced with twentyfour battalions at Nicksich. Singapore, June 19, 3.45 p.m. A despatch from Muklitar Pasha says that the Russians were defeated at Alasghera, after severe fighting. There is no news from the Danube. It is semi-officially stated at St. Petersburgh that mediation is impossible. A levy is proposed.
