AUSTRALIAN NEWS.
Sydney, June 16. Mr. John Fairfax, M.R.C., proprietor of the Sydney Morninrj Herald, died this morning. The steamer Eullins collided with and sunk the barque Sylanhide, bound from Portland Bay to Sydney, half-a-mile south of the Long Reef. All lives saved. Sailed-Easby.
