THE LICENSING LAWS.

A deputation from the Licensed Victual lers waited on the Hon. C. 0. Bowen to suggest alterations in the Licensing Act,

with a view of 12 o'clock and night licenses being granted in Christchurch ; also, allowing private entrances to remain open on Sundays. The Hon. Mr. Bowen said the suggestions were reasonable, and that he would bring them before the Government.
