The inquest on the body of Margaret M'lntjTe was resumed to-day. Dr. Bakewell stated that death resulted, first, from long continued want of proper food secondly, from injuries; received a few days before death ; thirdly, congestion of the lungs and inflammation of the bowels ; fourth, from alcohol having been administered in large doses twenty-four hours before death. Had medical assistance been called in sufficient time, the life of the girl might have been saved. There are still ten witnesses to examine.
