CHAMBER OF COMMERCE.

At the Chamber of Commerce's annual meeting to-day, the report expressed a hope that new life would be infused, and its influenced augmented by the late increase of members. The Committee regret that the suggestions re Debtors and Creditors Act was not adopted last session by the Government, and believe that unless the law of bankruptcy be amended in the manner proposed, it will fail to attain the ends aimed at by the Legislature. The report expresses satisfaction at the Pacific mail arrangements, and thanks the Wellington Chamber for their prompt cooperation. The balance-sheet showed a cred:t balance of LlO9.
