WRECK OF A HOME SHIP.
May 17.
The barque Alasca, at Itusssll, reports the loss of the Ocean Mail on the Chatham Islands, bound from Wellington to London, with a cargo of wool. The vessel is a total wreck, and was sold for L9OO to Ritchie and Co. All hands were saved. The wreck occurred on March 19.
