Haliensteiu Bros., manufacturers and wholesale -warehousemen, of tlie New /.ealand Clothing Factory, following the example of some of the large manufacturers at Home, and more especially with a-view of pi eventing the importation of English clothing, aie opening extensive retail establishments in the large centres of population. For this purpose they have lately fitted up commodious premises in Messrs. ShritnsLi and Moss' buildings, Thames-street, where the sale of their manufactures wiil be thrown open direct to the public of Oamaru. This branch, which will be opened on Saturday April 7, wiil be under the immediate manage ment of Mr. 11. G. Lindsay, and under the personal supervision of Mr. B. Hallenstein,
