SOUTHAN has been appointed AGENT for the EVENING MAIL at WAIMATE, and copies of the paper may be obtained from him every evening, immediately after the arrival of the 6.40 p.m. train from Oamarn. JN FUTURE the EVENING MAIL will be published at four o'clock in the afternoon, and Advertisers should therefore send in their favours not later than half-past three, in order to insure their insertion. POST OFFICE NOTICE. Mails Close— For Dunedin and intermediate offices, daily, at 6 a.m. For Pukeuri and Waitaki, daily, at 9 a.m. For Waimate, Timaru, Christchurcli, and North Island, daily, at 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. For Papakaio and Duntroon, daity, at 4 p.m. For Awamoko, on Tuesday and Thursday at 4 p.m. For Haerewhenua, Upper Ferry, and Oamarama, on Tuesday, at 4 p.m. For Weston and Teaneraki, daily, at 2.30 p.m. For Dunedin and South, per p.s. Samson, on Monday and Thursday, at 5 p.m. ; and per s.s. Waitaki, on Wednesday and Saturday, at 10 a.m. Letter- may be registered during' the ordinary office hours, and for despatch by any mail, one hour before the closing of such mail. FRED.
