Dunedin, Ma J 1 11 THE TiDAL WAVE.
A tidal wave lias occurred at Port Chalmers, where the sea rose fully three feet. At Balclutha the rise was eighteen inches, but the river rose four feet, the water receding again in twenty minutes.
