WAITAKI ROAD BOARD.

The usual monthly meetingof the Board was held yesterday afternoon, when there were present —Messrs. Duncan (in the chair), Fleming, Evans, Borrie, Mee, Stewart, and Easton. It was resolved, "That the Engineer prepare plans and specifications for tho formation of roads between sections 38 and 39, and 55 and 57, block 111., Papakaio District; also, for the road from railway tanks to Mr. Jardine's house." CULVERT NEAR ATCHISON'S. It was resolved, " That this culvert be constructed at the cost of the Board—Mr. Aitchison to find the stone." ROAD THROUGH PAPAKAIAO.

On the motion of Mr. Evans, seconded by Mr. Mee, it was resolved, "That tho Clerk write to the Chairman of the County Council, informing him of the negotiations between the B.nrd ami the proprietor of the Papikaio Preemptive, re road from Oamarn to Liudis, and to state that the sum arranged to be given as compensation is L 550. and that instructions have been given to prepare the necessary deeds, and asking whether the Councill will tako over the road and pay the 'cust of the same. In the event of the (v>.;uucil consenting, the transfers to be made out direct to them. In the event of the Council declining to p.iy the sum in question, the Csiairman of the Board to complete the transai with Mr. Borrie." EXCHANGE OF ROAD LINE, The Chairman, Messrs. Borrie and Evans, were appointed a subcommittee to arrange with M*'- Gilchrist for an exchange of road line in the Papakaio, VOTERS' ROLL FOR AWAMOKO. The Clerk was directed to act under the instructions of the Solicitor in preparing a voters' roll for the Awamoko subdivision. ACCOUNTS. A number of accounts were passed fo,y payment, and, after a vote of thftt&t, ty the chair, the Board adjpureed.
