'OTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that at a Special Meeting of the Municipal Council held on the 9th April, 1877, it was resolved that Regulation No. 5, relating to the Keeping of Swine, of date 11th October, 1575, be repealed ; and that the said Resolution was duly confirmed at a Special Meeting of the said Council held on the 7tl May, 1877, it being ordered in such Resolution that such repeal should take effect a? and from the Ist day of July, 1577. And Notice is Hereby Further Given tha 1 at the said last-mentioned meeting the fol lowing Bye-law, to be numbered Bye-law No. VIII., "Relating to the Keeping of Swine," was in accordance with section 340 of the "Municipal Corporations Act, 1576," finally adopted and ordered to come into force within the Municipaßy of Oamaru as and from the Ist clay of July, 1577, viz.:—
BY-LAWS No. VIII. REGULATION AS TO KEEPING OF SWINE. Regulation as to keeping Swine made under authority- of the Muaicipal Corporations Act, 1876, Part XIL, Sec. 349, Sub-sec-tion 6. It shall not be lawful to keep any swine within the following blocks, viz.:—Blocks 1, 2, 3, 4/5, 6,' 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 17, 18, 19, 'JO, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 2S, 29. 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, and 3S. And it shall not be lawful to keep more than two swine on any one section within any block not included above. Any person committing a breach of this regulation shall be liable to a penalty of not exceeding L 5. And Notice is Hereby Further Given, that at a Special Meeting of the cil of Oamaru, held on the 7th day of May, 1877, the following Bye-laws, to wit: Bye-law No. IX., relating to "Licensed Theatres;" and Bye-law No. X, relating to "Licensed Vehicles," Were finally adopted, in accordance with Sect on 310 of the " Municipal Corporations Act, 1876," and ordered to come into force within the Municipality of Oamaru, on the first day of June, 1877. BY-LAWS No. IX. REGULATIONS FOR LICENSED THEATRES. Bye-laws for the better regulation of and preservation of order within Licensed Theatres and places of public amusement made under authority of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1876, part XIL, Sec. 349, Sub-sections 12 and 13. 1. No persons shall be allowed to interrupt the audience or to interfere with the orderly conduct of any entertainment or to annoy any person present thereat either by. Using loud or unseemly ejaculations Swearing or using obscene language Upsetting any chair form or seat Jostling or hustling any person . Throwing any missile or article from one part of the house to. another Whistling Dancing - - Smoking or Creating any disturbance whatsoever. Any person so offending may be forthwith removed by the licensee of such licensed theatre or place of amusement or by his servant or by any police constable, and shall-be liable on conviction of a breach of this byelaw to a penalty of not exceeding L 5.
