OAMARU FOOTBALL CLUB.
The annual meeting of the above Clul was held at the Northern Hotel last even ing. There was a very largo attendance and the names of twenty-five gentlemei were enrolled on the books of the Club a members for the coming year. The chair was occupied by Mr. Holds worth (Captain of the Club). MINUTES AND BALANCE-SHEET. The minutes of the last annual meetin having been read by Mr. Hickey, in th absence of the Secretary, a statement c the financial position of the Club wa submitted. According to this statemen! after paying all liabilities there rvoul remain a balance of 2s. lid., in additio to which there were unpaid subscription to the amount of 30s. to come in. Tli balance-sheet was unanimously adopted. ELECTION OF OFFICERS. The election of office-bearers was the proceeded with, the following being tli result -. President, Mr. J. O'Meaghet Vice-President, Mr. Holdsworth ; Cuj tain, Mr. G. J. Millington ; Deputy-Ca] tain, Mr. E. Booth ; Secretary and Tie surer, Mr. Blackburn ; Members of Con mittee, Messrs. M'Donald, Otterson, an Tempest. SUBSCRIPTION. Mr. TEJirEST proposed that the amoui of the annual subscription should 1 55., and that no member should I allowed to play in more than thn matches without paying his subscriptioi The Chairman pointed out that tl matter was already provided for in tl bye-laws of the Club. RULES OF PLAY. It was decided that the Club shou play under the same rules as those 1 which the Club was governed during tl past year, which were those of the Rugl Union. A CUALLENtiE. The Chairman read a letter from M A. Cargill, Secretary of the Dunedin Foe ball Ciub, stating that the Club had ti Saturdays at their disposal, and w anxious to have a contest with theOama Club either on the 2nd or Utli June. I writer also expressed a hope that t Oamaru Club would be able to send team to Dunedin this season. After some discussion, the matter w referred to the Match Committee to di with.
Some matters of routine having be gone through, it was decided that thofii match of the season should he playedi Saturday next, and the meeting closed.
