The Canterbury Jockty Club held a meeting on Saturday evening, when it was decided to endorse the action of the Stewards of the North Otago Turf Club re the disqualitication of Fishhook. Ic was also decided to write to the Stewards of the Turf Club, asking the reason why Derritt, Fishhook's rider, was not disqualified, an opinion being expressed that the jockey should have been punished for the part he took in the transaction. Sir J. Craeroft Wilson was in favour of making the disqualification general, and lias given notice of his intention to move at the next meeting that Fishhook, his owner, and his rider be disqualified from racing on any course where the Club's rules are in force.
