SALE OF LAND.

I Messrs. Connell and Clowes he Id a sale | of lands belonging to the New Zealand ; Meat Preserving Company, situated at ; Kakanui and .All-Day Pay, on Saturday i last. There was a very large attendance of Loth local and outside buyers, and considerable interest was evinced by owners of land in the district, the sale being looked upon as a test of the value of land in the neighbourhood. The first lots sub- | mitted were the small sections in Riverview, Kakanui, containing about one acre, which fetched from Ll2 10s to LSO each, the buyers being nearby all Kananui men.
