OUR VOLUNTEERS.

. [from a correspondent.] «■ ■ On Wednesday evening last, the Hampden Volunteers were inspected by Ser-geant-Major MTherson. There was not as good a turn out as might have been expected, there being only in attendance two officers, three sergeants, and 16 men —2l all told. After being put through a variety of company movements, they stood at ease while the brass band enlivened the proceedings with some vevy good music, showing a decided improvement both in time and execution. We understand tin's was the last inspection of Volunteers fur the year ending March, 1877. |
