OAMARU HOSPITAL.

The regular monthly meeting of the Hospital Committee was lielcl last evening at the Secretary's office. Present : Messrs. Mainland (in tin chair), Flett, M'lntosh, Townsend, Steward, and Church (Secretary). MINUTES. The minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed, and the outward correspondence read and approved. THE VICE-PRESIDENT. The following letter was read : " Oamaru, Feb. 23rd, 1877. "J. Church, Esq., Secretary of Oamaru Hospital. " Dea: Sir,—l have to acknowledge receipt of your favour of the 21st instant, conveying the request of the Committee that i should reconsider my decision in the matter of the Vice-Presidency of the Institution. "In reply, you will please to inform the Committee that, in tleferenos to their request, I shall not further press my resignation of office. —I am, &c., "T. H. Brown." VISITING COMMITTEE'S REPORT. Th 0 Secretary read the following report of the Visiting Committee ; "To the Committee of the Oamaru Hospital. "Your Committee report that they have found the Hospital, and found everything in good order. " They recommend that the kitchen, _ pantries, and lobby be ceiled and lined with T and G lining, this part of the building being at present not proof, and in a very rough state. "Also, that the coal-bunkers be roofed in, and that the back part of the building be painteJ, '' Repairs are also necessary to the bath and shower-bath.
