PEARSON V. CORPORATION.

Mr. Richard Pearson, a butcher, who had three children at the Fever Hospital, one of whom died whilst in the Hospital, brought an action against the Corporation at the Resident Magistrate's Court today. He seeks £2O damages for negligence and insufficient nursing, whereby he had to remove his children home and quarantine his house. In the evidence he alleged that the deceased child had tumbled twice out of the bed, and had to be assisted back by the other children—the ward and patients being left to take care of themselves. The case is creating a good deal of interest in Corporation and medical circles, and will last all day.
