A THREATENED SUICIDE.
On Friday, a woman of respectable appearance, named Thompson, called on the police, stating that her husbaud had deserted her, and threatening to commit suicide if she were not assisted. Yesterday, she applied to have her infant taken charge of, and the Bench, after hearing the circumstances, committed it to the Industrial School, stating that room must be found for it.
