MACANDREW TESTIMONIAL.

Dcnedix, Thurssday.

The meeting last night in reference to tbn ]iroj)osed testimonial to Mr. Macandixw was only attended by sixty persons, all however, being influential citizens. Professor Macgregor moved the first resolution as follows :—"That in the opinion of this meeting Mr. Macandrew's loner continued and eminent public services deserves to be fittingly recognised by the public of the province and that it be resolved that immediate steps be taken to invite the whole body of the people, of all shades of political opinion, to join in subscribing to a testimonial which shall be alike worthy of them and the occasion. 1 ' In moving the resolution, Professor Macgregor said that it was incumbent on every citizen to show that he would not accept services unselfishly criven and long continued without provinl' that he was not ungrateful or for--etful."
