Work Done.—Boys : Royal Reader No. VL, and "Macbeth," to end of Act 11., Scene 3. Work Done.—Girls : Royal Reader No. VI., including extracts from "King John." Number of Papers.—Boys, 17 ; girls, 8. Many of the papers were very creditable. Composition, and explanation of words and expressions, and of allusions, generally very fair. ENGLISH GRAMMAR. Number of papers, 28. Parsing, Inflection, and Syntax, very fair. Analysis excellent. DICTATION, Number of papers, 28. Rather unequal; average, very fair. geography (General of the World). Number of papers, 28. Answers rather unequal; average very fair. arithmetic (Vulgar and Decimal Fractions and Lower Rules). Number of papers, 28. A good many excellent papers with very few below a fair average. Work neat and methodical.
