MUNICIPAL COUNCIL.
THJ.S DAY. A social meeting of the Municipal Council was held this afternoon, for the purpose of considering the tenders for the erection of the new pound. His Worship was in the chair, and there were present: Councillors Gibbs, Headland, Booth, Mainland, and Galbraith. Eesolvcd— " That Mr James Allan's teii'JcT f»r £OB, Contract 113, for erection of pound, be accepted : and, failing his taking it up, that Messrs Henderson and Houghey's tender of £7O be accepted." This was all the business, and the Council then adjourned.
