! mO STAND THIS SEASON, in the JL Oamaru District, and at Mr. Paterson's private residence, Oamaru, the fashionably bred aud very superior Thoroughbred Horse PERTOBE, I'y Panic (imported), out of Hester Grazebrook, by the rreinier (imported), out of Miss Napier, by Delanre (imported), out of Mrs. Roberts *by Wanderer (imported); Panic by Alarm, out of Queen of Beauty by Melbourne, out of Birthday by Pantaloon, out of Honoria by Camel, &c, &c. Pertobe is a dark bay horse, seven years old, standing 10 hands 3 inches high, with great length, substance, and quality, aud was one of the t'a.itot horses that ever raced in Victoria. The fact that he has got Pantaloon blood in his veins is a great recommendation, for it is questionable if better ilows in any animal's. The very best runners and the grandest spcuiuieii-i of the thoroughbred are descended trom Pantaloon, whose blood cannot be excelled. The value of Pantaloon blood is undeniable, having furnished so many proofs not .done as to speed and staying, but also .-.a a running strain, for although some other.-* occasional!}' produce one or two first-ciass animals, still few can compete with tiiat in question as to number. For hbh breeding, good true racing action, holiesty ami gametics*, with speed of remarkable brilliancy, Pertobe lias no equal, and Thoroughbred" Mares put tohini should breed nood racehorses.
