In Sydney six bales of wool, each weighing about three hundredweight and a quarter, were placed together in a wool press, and squeezed into a cube, the sides of which measured only three feet six inches. It is an alarming fact that the suicides in England are largely among tne wealthy and educated classes. The poor people seldom indulge in such a luxury. Krupp, the great gunmaker, has an establishment which covers 700 acres, and employs. 12,000 workmen. On the grounds there is a railway five miles long, and a tramway two miles.
