Cargills have received a wool telegram dated the 4th, wliich says : " Since our last advice the attendance of Home and foreign buyers have increased. The sales closed firm, with prices as high as at any period of the series. The total quantity catalogued this series is 206,000 bales. SiR GEORGE GREY AND THE CONVENTION. The Convention has received a telegram from Sir George Grey expressing his entire willingness to" jn-oceed to England, and stating that he will sacrifice all to a sense of duty ; adding that it will be proper for all such as desire to serve New Zealand to follow this course.
