TO STAND THIS SEASON, in the Oamaru District, and at Mr. Paterson's private residence, Oamaru, the fashionably bred and very superior Thoroughbred Horse P E P. T O B E, By Panic (imported), out of Hester Grazebrook, by the Premier (imported), out of M 133 Napier, by Delapre (imported), out of Mrs. Roberts by Wanderer (imported); Panic by Alarm, out of Queen of Beauty by Melbourne, out of Birthday by Pantaloon, out of Honoria by Camel, &c., &c. Pertobe is a dark bay horse, seven years old, standing 15 hands 3 inches high, with great length, substance, and quality, and vas pae ot the fastest horsc3 that ever raced v Victoria. The fact that he has pot Pauttloon blood in his veins 4a a griat. - recommendation, for it is questionable if better pows in any animal's. The very best runners and the grandest of the thoroughbred are descended from Pantaloon, whose blood cannot be excelled. The value of Pantaloon blood is undeniable, having furnished so many proofs not alone as to sj«eed and staying, but also as a running strain, for although some others occasionally produce one or two tiret-claas animals, still few can compete with that in question as to number. For high breeding, good true racing action, honesty and gameness, with speed of remarkable brilliancy, Pertobe has no equal, and Thoroughbred Mares put to him should breed good racehorses.
