A Melbourne cablegram, dated 4th, nominates Cleol'te, the winner of last year's Wagga Wagga Cup, for Dunedin Cup.
THE CONVENTION. Ml*. Fish, M.P.C., declines to attend the Conventir.n ; and the Dunedin School Committee consider the circular to-night.
KNOX'S CHURCH. The new Knox Church was opened yesterday. The collections were £561175. I'd. ; the building cost £B,OOO. MELBOURNE DERBY. The result of the Melbourne Derby caused great surprise, for the knowing ones here had 2*ewminster and Tocal freely backed against the field at level money for two mouths.
