ROUGH ON CHINAMEN.
The ffaikato Times says :—Our Yankee brothers don't think much of Chinamen, as evident from the fallowing statute passed by our special Mr. .Marcus Twain.
Be it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of the state of as follows : Section I.—No Chinaman shall be allowed to die in this State until he ma paid ten dollars for a pair of boots witn which to kick the bucket.
Section 2.—Any Chinaman dying under this Act shall he buried six feet under ground. Section 3. —Any Chinaman who attempts to dig up another Chinaman's bones, shall first procure a license from the Secretary of State, for which he shall pay four dollars. Section 4—Any dead Chinaman who attempts to dig up his own bones, without giving thte notice to the Secretary of State, shall be lined one hundred dollars. Section 3.—Any C-inanian who shall be born without Ikmes for the purpose of wilfully and feloniously evading the provisions of this Act, shall be 6ned five hundred dollars-.
