TO STAND THla SEASON, in the Oamaru District, and at Mr. Paterson's private residence, Oamaru, the fashionably bred and very superior Thoroughbred Horse PEKTOBE, By Panic (imported), out of Hester Grazebrook, by the Premier (imported), out of Mis 3 Napier, by Delapre (imported), out of Mrs. Roberts by Wanderer (imported); Panic by Alarm, out of Queen of Beauty by Melbourne, out of Birthday by Pantaloon, out of Honoria by Camel, &c., &c. Pertobe is a dark bay horse, seven years old, standing 15 hand 3 3 inches high, with-great length, substance, and quality, ana was one _of the fastest horses tiiac /raced in Victoria. The fact that he has, apt Pantaloon blood in his veins is a greatTrecoimnendation, for it is questionable if better''flows in any animal's. The very best runners and the grandest specimen* of the thoroughbred are descended from Pantaloon, whose blood cannot be excelled. The value of Pantaloon blood is undeniable, having furnished so many proofs not alone as to and staying, but also a3 a running strain, for although some others occasionally produce oue or two first-class animals, still few can compete with that in question as to number. For high breeding, good true racing action, hone3ty and gaincness, with speed of remarkable brilliancy, Pertobe has no equal, and Thoroughbred Mares put to him should breed good racehorses.
