MAGISTRATE'S COURT.
THIS DAY. [Before T. W. Pakker, Esq., R.M.] DBtTNK. Patrick M'Cusker was charged with being drunk in Tees-street. Patrick had conducted himself in a very disorderly manner, and when asked what he had to say for himself, he informed the Bench that he had been very badly took with the bile, and had imbibed too much P.B. and laudanum. As the arresting constable was not present, Pat was remanded till to-morrow. AKOXHEE. Alex. M'Kenzie was charged with worshipping too devoutly at the shrine of Bacchus. Alec declared that this was his first offence, and it should never, never occur again. He believed the charge was correct. • The Bench thought the best thing Alec could do, would be to leave Oamaru, and to carry out that object they would give him another chance. The accused left the dock rejoicing.
