Nominations for the Oamaru Steeplechase to be sent in sealed covers, containing name, age, and color of the horse, and colors of the ruler ; and addressed to the Secretary, at the Empire Hotel, Oamaru, not later than eight o'clock p.m. on Saturday, the23rdinst. \\ eights to be published on Friday, 29th inst. Acceptances and sweeps on the nigKt of general entry at the above Hotel, before eight o'clock, arid no monies will be received after this hour under any pretence whatever. 4. Night of General Entry—Monday, 9th October, at the Empire Hotel, before eight o'clock p.m. 5.
