Weight for age ; entrance, £2 2>., with a sweep of .£2 2s. each, to go to the second horse. O a.ma lie Handicap Steeplechase Cup, of 7o sovs. (a Handicap). About 3 miles, over such jumps and across such country as the Stewards may appoint-. Nominations, £2 2s. ; acceptances, £1 Is., with a sweep of £3 3s. each, to go to the second horse. Match, of £25 a side, over the same course as the Maiden. RULES AND -REGULATIONS. 1. Rules of the New Zealand Grand National Steeplechase to be strictly adheied to. 2. Not less than three hor3e3 to start for each race, or only half the stakes will be paid. 3. Nominations for the Oamaru Steeplechase to be sent in scaled covers, containing name, age, and color of the horse, and colors of the r.ner ; and addressed to the Secretary, at the Empire Hotel, Uaniaru, not later than eight o'clock p.m. on Saturday, the23idinst. Weights to be published on Friday, 29th inst. Acceptances and sweeps on the ni-jlit .if general entry at the above Hotel, before eight o'clock, and no monies will be received utter this hour under any pretence whatever. 4. Night of General Entry—Monday, Dth October, at the .umpire Hotel, before eight o'clock p.m. 5.
