NORTH OTAGO HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY.

An adjourned monthly meeting of the above Society was held at the Albion House, on Monday evening. Present : Messrs. Paterson (in the chair), Main, Clydesdale, Hartley, and Simpson (Secretary). CORRESPONDENCE. Letters were received from Messrs. Proposed by Mr. Simpson, and seconded by Mr. Hartley, "That the first Sow take pla-e between the 17th. and 30th December! " —Carried. Proposed by Sir. Main, and secondgjL by Mr. Hartley, " That a sub-commiti**. be appointed to revise the prize schedule, to consist of t.ie following gentlemen : Messrs. Paterson (convener), Clydesdale, Hartley, Earle, Main, and Simpson, and submitted at the next meeting of Committee."—Carried. Propos.d by Mr. Hab.xi.ey, and seconded by Mr. Main, " That Mr. M. Spratt be elected a member of Committee in place of Mi*. Hilliker, who has forfeited his seat through non-attendance." —Carried. Resolved, " That the nub-committee meet on Thursday, the 21st instant, to re- | vise t .e schedule." A vote of thaniis to the Chairman terminated the proceedings.
