AN ERROR.

TO THE EDITOR OF THE EVENING MAIL,

Sir, —I was rather surprised to see in your last night's issue my name as Stage Director among the newly-elected officers of the Oamaru Dramatic Club, seeing that I had sent in my resignation the day previous, in I particularly requested that my name should not appear.—l am yours, &c, JAMES ILES.

Oamaru, August 5. [The information was supplied officially. We have of course nothing to do with any of the internal arrangements of the club.— Ed. E. M.]
