The Crown Prosecutor decided not to present the bill to the Grand Jury. M'Kay was discharged. The case of Smith and M'Shane and wife, the two male prisoners were found guilty of robbery with violence, and the female of receiving the stolen property, The male prisoners were sentenced to twelve months' hard labour. The Judge said that seeing that M'Shane would be found guilty, he did not think the wife could be convicted, but woidd reserve the jioiiit for consideration.
