[from our own,correspondent.] Duneden, Friday. THE SAILORS' HOME. It appears very likely the Sailors' Home will come to grief through inability to obtain a site. The Superintendent told 'a deputation that the Government had divested themselves of every reserve. CHURCH UNION. The filial consideration of the motion re Church union was adjourned till the 28th. There were only two opponents yesterday.
PUBLICANS AND GOOD TEMPLARS. In the Police: : Court> Hooper, the pro-prietor-~oF~the ""felSSrator," charged one of the principal publicans with serving a drunken man with liquor ; but the Bench dismissed the case because it was oath against oath. A STRANGE MEMORIAL. The notorious M'Laren presented to the Superintendent to-day a memorial signed by 100 practical mechanics, requesting an enquiry into the cause of locomotives being constructed without tenders.
