The Chamber of Commerce recommended several additions to the Bankruptcy Act, the principal of which are, the appointment of official assignees; registrars to act in the judges' absence, except in appeals ; limiting proof of debt to two months in the Colony and six months beyond ; power to eject a debtor from premises 011 notice from trustee ; creditors of £25, or two whose claims amount to that sum, to be able to take initiatory proceedings against a debtor.
