TO THE EDITOR Of THE EVENING MAIL. Sir, —What a lark if the Council in their wisdom, after insisting that the public should make up their footpaths at considerable expense, and then allowed them to be cut up for gas purposes, should insist upon them being made good.—l am, &c., Lynx. June 8, 1876.
