RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT.

THIS DAY. (Before-3lessrs. Jlraisox and Fexwick, J.P.s) "stealing from the person.

Henry Money and Arthur L. Lloyd, two well-known characters to the police, were charged with stealing from the house of one Ann°Paul, at Oainaru, on the 6th inst., a purse containing four one-pound notes and a half-sovereign. Sub-Inspector M'Clusky conducted the prosecution, and Mr. Balmer defended the prisoners. The prosecutrix, Constable Moroney, and others gave conclusive proof as to the committal of the robbery, but the Bench, not considering the charge substantiated, dismissed the case.
