NORTHERN AGRICULTURAL AND PASTORAL ASSOCIATION.

The adjourned meeting of Committee took place in the Mechanics' Institute on Saturday last, at two p.m. There were sixteen members present, Mr. J. Falconer being voted to the chair. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed.

It was resolved that prizes be ottered as follows :

For grain, seeds, and other exhibits, and that the competition be open to all. For short and long oats, barley (matting), peas, perennial rye grass (Italian), and three bushels of cocksfoot and prairie. For 501b. timothy, 501b. white clover, 501b. cowgrass, 501b. red clover, and 501b. alsyke. For mangold wurzel, turnips, cabbages, potatoes, &c. ; and for pot plants, such as pines, cypresses, and conifera. For one bale of scoured merino wool, and one of long wool, eacli not less than 2001b. For sheep dogs. The entrance fee for exhibits was next considered, when it was agreed that the fee for members be ss. on each exhibits of horses, cattle, sheep, pigs, and implements, and for non-members 10s. For dairy, produce, cured meats, poultry, bread and extras, grain, seeds, &c, members 2s. 6d., non-members, ss. It was resolved that catalogues be printed, and that all entries be made one fortnight prior to date of show. With the view of making both show days equally attractive, it was_ decided, after considerable discussion, to fix the exliibits for the first day for thoroughbred and hack horses, Ayrshire cattle, sheep, pigs, poultry, implements, dairy produce, seeds, wool, dogs, &c.; and for the second clay for draught horses, shorthorn cattle, with all exhibits on the first day except live stock.

It was decided that the price of admission should be the same as last year—ls. for adults, and half-price for children. The closing business was of a routine character, and a vote of thanks to the chair terminated the proceedings.
