sr [PER PRESS AGENCY.] _ * Wellington, Wednesday. HER MAJESTY AND ABOLITION. A published despatch from Lord Carnarvon to the Marquis of Normanby states that Her Majesty will not be advised to exercise her power of disallowance in respect of the Act providing for the Abolition of the Provinces.
A CENTRAL PRISON. The Colonial Architect last evening called for tenders for the erection of a central prison for the Colony, to be erected at New Plymouth. Tenders to be sent in by July 12.
