HIS CHANCE
- Paganelli COIN TO COME (From "N.Z. Truth's" Auckland Rep.) For the "second leg" at Takapuna, the Cheltenham Handicap sprint, Paganelli heads the list. TT was generally believed the son of Lord Quex was ready to show his former speed at 1 - Te> Rapa. Then the rain came along .and caused his withdrawal. He had some early spring racing, and is not over-burdened at 9.3 on the Takapuna track with its continual turn to the run home. He has won there before, and if ever he is going to come back this seems his great chance. Leitrim has had Recent racing to bring him on, while Lucy Rose bobs up occasionally. Lady's Boy, for a
winner at Whangarei, appears nicely m at 7.12, while at six pounds less White Wings must be considered dangerous, for she was a fit mare when she got the right money at Whangarei with thirteen pounds more on her back. Royal Tea, if not sore, is always a possibility, while Awamutu can begin fast. If Paganelli is going to show a return to form he should win, with White Wings as a likely one to cause trouble.
