SINGING SOON

Meadow Lark Will Chirp Again (From "N.Z. Truth's" Christchurch Rep.) MEADOW LARK has improved lately and looks to be gradually running himself vinto winning form," and should be on hand for a big gathering shortly. He has usually had a few races before approaching his best form, but this season he did not 'have his first race until the Kurow meeting early m October. He was produced at Dunedin and Timaru, but was not ready for a hard run race, and was never near the money. This made his Cup week? prospects m the big sprints; anything but bright, but he improved 'with every run, and the last race he had at the meeting was his best effort m running a good fourth to Havering m the Members' Handicap. i The early New Year should find him; cherry ripe and fit for a big killing. His form was too bad for him to be produced at the last Trentham meeting, but he may be there next time to try and repeat his last year's form Jn again taking the Telegraph Handicap. There will be no time for meandering about the meadow when he hits the right note.
