KEEP TO TIME
Waiting For The Last Pound . (From "N.Z. . Truth's" Auckland Rep.) W^HERE there is. an opportunity " clubs and totalisator proprietors are evidently not very keen on sticking strictly to time these days of totalisator decreases m figures. The main idea appears to be to drag on as long as possible, evidently with the object 'of extracting every available penny from the punter. On the least possible excuse, time limits appear to be extended. It is wrong, and there is need for improvement .and sticking strictly to the time-table. If the extra taxation is making investors think hard beford investing their "last" pound . on the tote, then get right down to tin tacks and tackle the evil at the root. ':_:.'
