Judging from later happenings, the reference "Truth" made in-last issue to Ranelagh's running m the Criterion on the second day of the Cup meeting failed to find favor with at least one. of his connections. It can now be said that he failed to get any of the money jpn the concluding days of the meeting, but after his failure m the Jockey Club mile, Carmont was to be dumped if another rider could be substituted. Here are some Ranelagh figures. The first race Ranelagh had saw him go out carrying just over three hundred tickets ih a pool which totalled £4200 odd.
