It was the same m the Jellicoe Handicap, when after being poorly placed m the middle stages Standfast had insufficient room m the final run to reach better than third money. ■ He, just seems a shade worse than the best of the second-class handicap lot which he has' been - meeting m ten-furlong handicaps. On the roomy track at Avondale next month he may make amends if his party do not fly at game too high for him. < He won a . couple on the suburban track last autumn. ,
