Silv,er Peak was racjpg she ." was regarded as one of the gamest and most brilliant mares of her day and her . runaway win m the Great Autumn Handicap is still referred to by racing, men when that important event is being discussed. ~ When retired to the stud she made an auspicious debut as a matron when she gave the turf Silver Paper. Her second contribution, Aspiring, brought her further honor, but since then her owner has had exasperating luck. Her next two foals were destroyed as; yearlings through breaking limbs, while a few days ago she slipped twin foals to Paper Money. Silver Peak gave every indication of becoming one of the notable dams of the New Zealand stud" and this run of bad luck is deplorable.
